Overview

GS-MAX-8000 is a digital multichannel analyzer from Gammaspectacular for external photomultiplier-based scintillation detectors. Its integrated preamplifier, high-voltage supply and processor convert detector pulses into an 8192-channel spectrum for computer analysis.

USB powers the unit and carries spectrum data. Software commands control the detector bias and acquisition settings. The analyzer is supplied optimised for NaI(Tl) detectors; pulse shaping can be adjusted for other scintillation materials.

SHV and optional BNC connections accommodate detector wiring arrangements. Detector-specific temperature compensation requires activation and calibration. Contact Nucleolenz for detector matching and setup.
