Overview

GS-MAX-2020-NAI-SIPM is a compact gamma spectrometer combining a 50.8 × 50.8 mm encapsulated NaI(Tl) crystal, silicon photomultiplier (SiPM) and integrated digital multichannel analyzer. The SiPM design provides strong immunity to external magnetic fields.

A USB-C interface connects directly to a PC, Mac or compatible Android device. Supported software includes Becqmoni Atom for Windows, Impulse for Windows and Mac, and Atom-Spectra for Android.

An internal temperature sensor compensates for drift, with calibration performed before delivery. The supplier specifies temperature stability from −40 to +50 °C. The clear-anodized aluminium housing has a standard camera tripod thread in its lid for mounting a tripod or handle grip.

The standard package includes the NaI(Tl) spectrometer, USB-C to USB-C cable, USB-C to USB-A cable, instrument case and manual. A laptop, Marinelli beakers and plastic grip are not included. The supplier also offers a CsI(Tl) crystal option; contact Nucleolenz to confirm the required configuration.
