Overview

GS-MAX-2020-CSI is an integrated gamma spectrometer combining a 52 × 52 mm encapsulated CsI(Tl) scintillation crystal, Hamamatsu R6231 photomultiplier tube and digital multichannel analyzer. The supplier specifies crystal resolution below 7%.

Its USB Type-B interface transfers spectrum data over a UART-over-USB connection. Compatible software includes Becqmoni Atom for Windows, ImpulseQt for Windows and Mac, and Atom-Spectra for compatible Android devices.

The detector uses a white powder-coated aluminium housing. An internal temperature sensor compensates for drift; the supplier lists temperature stability from −40 to +80 °C.

The package includes the CsI(Tl) spectrometer, a 2 m water-resistant USB cable, polypropylene instrument case and manual. Contact Nucleolenz to confirm acquisition requirements and the appropriate software for your application.
