ATOM-NANO-8 is a compact, integrated gamma spectrometer combining an 8 cm³ CsI(Tl) scintillation crystal with a fast silicon photomultiplier (SiPM) counting circuit. It connects to a computer or compatible Android device through a USB UART serial connection for spectrum acquisition and analysis.
The 47 × 13 × 13 mm crystal and 8192-channel analyzer are housed in a portable unit measuring 85 × 45 × 25 mm and weighing 130 g. The supplier specifies a maximum count rate of approximately 30,000 counts per second and power consumption below 1 W.
Compatible software includes Becqmoni Atom for Windows, ImpulseQt for Windows and Mac, and Atom-Spectra for compatible Android phones and tablets. Software features include background subtraction and isotope libraries to support spectrum interpretation.
An integral temperature sensor compensates for temperature drift. The specified operating range is −20 to +60 °C; the supplier separately describes temperature compensation over −40 to +80 °C.
The package includes the ATOM-NANO-8 spectrometer, USB Type-B to Type-A cable, USB Type-B to Type-C cable, water-resistant instrument case and manual. Made in Australia. Contact Nucleolenz for application guidance and a quotation.
