Overview

ATOM-3030-NAI is an integrated gamma spectrometer combining a 76 × 76 mm NaI(Tl) scintillation crystal, photomultiplier tube and digital spectrum acquisition electronics. Its USB Type-B interface transfers spectrum data to a PC, Mac or compatible Android device over a USB UART serial connection.

Compatible software includes Becqmoni Atom for Windows, ImpulseQt for Windows and Mac, and Atom-Spectra for Android. Analysis features include background subtraction and isotope libraries for interpreting spectral peaks.

The detector and electronics are housed in a machined, anodized aluminium enclosure with an LED indicating power and recording. An internal temperature sensor and factory calibration compensate for temperature-related drift. The specified operating temperature range is −20 to +60 °C.
