Overview

ATOM-2020-NAI combines a 51 × 51 mm NaI(Tl) scintillation crystal, photomultiplier tube and digital spectrum acquisition electronics in a single gamma spectrometer. Its USB Type-B interface sends spectrum data to a PC, Mac or compatible Android device over a USB UART serial connection.

Compatible software includes Becqmoni Atom for Windows, ImpulseQt for Windows and Mac, and Atom-Spectra for Android. Spectrum analysis features include background subtraction and isotope libraries for identifying peaks.

The detector and electronics are housed in a machined, anodized aluminium enclosure, with an LED indicating power and recording. An internal temperature sensor compensates for temperature-related drift. The specified operating temperature range is −20 to +60 °C.
